11/11 Registration Update
Registration for the Winchester Veterans Tournament is closed.
There may be an opportunity to enter two or three teams in select age groups.
Please immediately call tournament director Michael Creane, 781-983-0934, to discuss.

Schedule
The tournament schedule will be completed and posted not later than Tuesday night.

Team Check-in
All teams are to check in at the control tent on their field of play one hour prior to their first game.
Coaches are expected to bring with them the following items to check in:

1. Copy of tournament roster, signed by a league official to verify all players are MYSA registered through their respective clubs.  MYSA registration is required for every player taking part in this tournament, as it is the MYSA insurance which covers all players.  There will be no waivers for this requirement.  Club officials who sign rosters take full responsibility for each player's active and current MYSA registration.

2. Medical release forms for each player, downloadable from our website (www.winchestersoccer.net).   Each player must provide a copy of a signed medical release form.  The forms should accompany the roster for verification.  Players will be disallowed the opportunity to play if they do not have this form.

3. If anyone owes money for registration fees, balances are due and payable prior to playing in the first game.  (Very few teams are in this predicament.)

Preparation and Notes
Coaches should please note the following details regarding games, players and preparations:

1. We allow players to wear pants, gloves and hats.  Every item must be player safe (no baseball hats, only warm skull caps, no buttons or hooks = on gloves, no hard buckles or belts on pants).

2. All games are 25 minute halves, with a 5 minute half time.  all games start on the hour, and end at 55 minutes past the hour, even if the second half must be shortened.

3. Coaches should bring a set of pinnies with them, in the event of team shirts being of similar color.

4. Coaches are asked to remind players to pick up after themselves at the end of each game.  There are plenty of barrels around the fields to be used for drink bottles and other debris.  Please remind players to bring home everything they have brought to the field, as we often end up with an incredible mound of lost and found items.

Notes:
Cold Weather Clothing:
Q: My players wore black sweatpants and black long sleeve shirts under their uniforms, will that be allowed again this year?
A: This should be fine. Be sure there's no safety defect. Sweatshirts under the primary uniform and sweatpants are acceptable. Note: If wearing sweatpants, team shorts must be showing above the sweatpants. Gloves without metal clips or other possible hazards are OK. Winter knit hat (without visors or pom-poms etc.) is OK. Nothing hard. No protruding objects.
